Allowing Access to Secure Web Sites (https):
Communication with secure web sites is encrypted and can't be filtered as normal.
To allow access to secure web sites there are two options:
1. | The first option is to select the check-box labeled "Secure Web Sites" under the "Allowed Services" tab. This will allow access to any web site that is secure (https://). |
2. | The second option; If you want to allow a secure site (https) without giving access to all secure sites. You can enter the IP address of the site in the "Allowed IP Addresses" list. |
|
TIP: Normally, you can find the IP address of a web site by doing a reverse lookup on the domain name. A great tool for this is at http://network-tools.com. Just enter the website i.e. (example.com) and select the "Lookup" option. Then you will be provided with the IP Address. If you ever get stuck and can't figure it out, we are always ready to help you with the correct configuration... Contact Support
